(from Cambridge International Dictionary of English)
(informal disapproving) To put/stick your oar in is to say or do something which annoys other people because they have not asked you to join their conversation or activity. e.g No-one asked him to help - he's always sticking his oar in.

What it is
OarIn is a simple comment box which can easily be added to a web site. It requires minimal knowledge of how web sites work and can be added to any web site even if your service provider doesn’t support the protocols needed for you to host your own OarIn.
What it isn’t
It is not a sophisticated bulletin board, it does not require a username or password and it won’t send you a text message whenever anyone looks at your site.
